Our goal is to give 10,000 meals to Feeding America by Dec 24th and this is how we plan to do it: For every recommendation you give us through Twitter, we will donate one meal to Feeding America.

With this in mind, we want to make recommending locally-owned restaurants easy for you. There are a couple of ways to recommend a restaurant.

To recommend a locally-owned restaurant on Twitter simply tweet the name, city (and neighborhood if appropriate), state, & add: #EatIndie

It’s that simple. We’ll find all tweets with #EatIndie in them and do the hard work of entering them into our database.

If you’re not on Twitter, simply visit http://getondining.com/suggest to recommend an independent restaurant. Be sure to include the name, city (and neighborhood if appropriate), & state.

We are picky though. We only want to promote locally-owned restaurants that serve great food (we take your word for it) at affordable prices (under $30+/- per plate).
